Westons Farm

There’s a reason that I’ve put this picture on the web today. I was in the Post Office in Bampton, chatting to Clair, when Bill wandered in. Bill owns the farm and he was looking for a birthday card for his son. When he saw the photo of his farm, mounted and looking pleasant. he bought the photo instead. I hadn’t seen the photo for a while and I was reminded me of the strong colours in the image. There is a large sepia toned version of this photo in the Quarrymans Rest.

River Teign

Flowing through Castle Drogo woods the river Teign is spectacular and there are so many photo opportunities. Take your dog for a lovely walk.

Arkitectur

Taken in Prague, these two buildings are next to the river, but well out of town. In fact, as you arrive in Prague from the Airport, you pass them as they are on a main road in to the city.

From Devon to Cornwall

I’m on the very edge of Dartmoor looking out over Tavistock into Cornwall. The day was cold and windy but the light was excellent.

Rolls Royce

This photo was taken over 25 years ago in Paris on an Olympus OM1n.  My first SLR, the Olympus saw excellent use for many years until the advent of the OM4. If only I’d kept it. Anyway, this old Roller had been left to go to rack and ruin and made a lovely photo at that time. Scanned with a film negative scanner into Photoshop and digitally recorded.

Burano, Italy

Taken in Burano, just off the Italian coast near Venice. There are plenty of these coloured houses on this tiny island. It is often difficult to photograph them though as there are loads of tourists everywhere. I got lucky with this shot; I just waited until it was clear and had a go.
